The goal of this program is to provide early access to upcoming [**Gemini API**](/docs) and [**Google AI Studio**](https://ai.studio) models and features before they are made available to the general public. {% callout type="warning" %} **Important:** This program is separate from **Gemini platform (fka. Vertex AI)**. For inquiries regarding Gemini platform (fka. Vertex AI) early access programs, reach out to your Google Cloud points of contact. {% /callout %} ## Program goals {% id="program-goals" %} The primary objective of the EAP is to gather high-quality, actionable feedback from real-world use cases. This feedback is essential for refining model performance, improving developer tools, and ensuring that our AI offerings meet the rigorous standards of reliability and safety expected by our community. ## Selectiveness and participation {% id="selectiveness-and-participation" %} Participation in the Early Access Program is by invitation only. We select participants based on a variety of factors, including their technical expertise, the specific use cases they represent, and their ability to provide detailed feedback. Due to the infrastructure requirements and the experimental nature of the features provided, we limit the number of participants. We appreciate your patience and interest in building with the leading edge of Gemini technology. ## Program rules and Trusted Tester Agreement (TL;DR) {% id="program-rules" %} Participation in the program is governed by the Trusted Tester Agreement (TTA). In practice, this means three core rules: * **No public communication during Early Access**: While a model or feature is in Early Access, you cannot publicly disclose that you are part of the EAP or share any details about unreleased models, features, codenames, documentation, benchmarks, or outputs. * **No production use**: You cannot use EAP models or features in production or customer-facing applications. By definition, experimental models can experience downtime, change behavior without notice, or have access revoked at any time. * **Public communication is encouraged after launch**: Once Google officially launches the model or feature publicly, confidentiality restrictions for that feature end. At that point, you can—and are encouraged to—talk about what you built, publish blog posts, or share demos. ## Feedback and evaluations {% id="feedback-driven-development" %} Features in the EAP are experimental and subject to change. We encourage participants to engage actively with the engineering teams, report bugs, and share insights that can influence the future direction of the Gemini API. We are especially grateful when participants share their internal evaluations, benchmark results, and qualitative comparisons with our team.
